What: Join Dr. Thomas Sorbera and an Intuitive Surgical representative on an interactive tour of the two Da Vinci surgical robots at Lodi Memorial Hospital.

Spring Lab Tours


What: The Biomedical Engineering Society is offering tours of the Tan, Parikh and Hull labs this quarter. Explore cutting edge research! Topics include biomechanics, cellular systems engineering and biomolecular materials.

Girls Day Out


WhatGirl‘s Day Out is designed to promote the study of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to local Girl Scouts. For this event, we invite “Brownie” scouts (2nd-3rd graders) in the Davis community. We have lots of hands on activities planned for them each of them are geared towards teaching the girls more about engineering and science. We organize the event by setting booths for the activity, and  having the girls rotate between each booth.

Biomedical House of Horrors









What: It’s that time of year again! Every year, BMES hosts a BME House of Horrors on the day of Picnic Day, an extremely popular event that always sells out! Featuring freak accidents, monsters, open surgeries, and much more, the House of Horrors is all about how Biomedical Engineering can save the day! Don’t forget to check us out on picnic day!
