Post-doctoral Fellow in MRI
The Department of Radiology at UC Davis invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position focusing on the development and optimization of MRI techniques for the musculoskeletal system. The successful candidate will have a strong background in both the theoretical and experimental aspects of MRI as evidenced by first author journal papers and conference abstracts. Experience in the development, validation and optimization of MRI pulse sequences, clinical imaging, medical imaging inverse problems, MR-based image processing and quantitative MRI techniques are highly desirable.
UC Davis offers outstanding research and training opportunities for the successful candidate. The infrastructure consists of a range of 1.5T, 3T and 7T systems, and access to high performance computing resources. The institution maintains active research agreements with major equipment vendors. There are established collaborations with clinicians and scientists from the Departments of Medicine, Surgery, Pathology, Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, and other institutions and access to clinical patient cohorts. UC Davis has a range of resources to enhance postdoctoral training such as seminars, grant writing and leadership courses, and access to statistical support.
