Jennifer E. Phipps

I am a translational biomedical engineer with experience working on women’s health clinical trials, community-engaged research, and cardiovascular imaging studies. My work examines pregnancy and the postpartum period as critical windows that shape lifelong maternal cardiovascular health and aims to reduce cardiovascular health disparities. In my teaching, I emphasize applied, student-centered learning that prepares students to translate interdisciplinary concepts into real-world medical device and health applications while considering equity and social justice in design and implementation.
