
Job Opportunity: Leach Lab Seeks Postdoctoral Fellow
Postdoctoral Position Available in the Leach Lab
A full-time postdoctoral position is available to study tissue engineering to promote bone repair and wound healing. The successful candidate will work on National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded multidisciplinary projects focused on evaluating dynamic changes in engineered tissues. This position is highly collaborative, working closely with other faculty in the Biomedical Engineering department, surgeons at UC Davis School of Medicine and the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or related field with demonstrated expertise working with stem and progenitor cells, biomaterials, excellent cell culture skills, and a strong background in molecular biology and tissue engineering. Qualified applicants must have experience working successfully in a team setting, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong publication record.
Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated expertise designing and characterizing hydrogels, working with small animals, and those who have a strong track record as graduate students of engineering, materials science, and/or biological research as evidenced by their published work.
