Job Opportunity: Aggie Square Graduate Professional Degree Lecturer

The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME), in the College of Engineering at UC Davis, invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach courses. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed.

There are up to twelve positions open for the Fall 2025 (which may include a summer appointment), Winter 2026, and Spring 2026 quarters.

  • Fall 2025: September 22, 2025 – December 12, 2025
  • Winter 2026: January 2, 2025 - March 20, 2026
  • Spring 2026: March 26, 2026 - June 11, 2026

Anticipated appointment is 33% per quarter per course.

Applicants must be able to teach a graduate course in the new M.Eng. Medical Device Development at Aggie Square. Applicants must have demonstrated teaching experience and advanced degrees in one of the following areas: biomedical engineering, product development, business leadership, or commercialization is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated commitment to graduate education in biomedical engineering, product development, business leadership, or commercialization.

The duties will include (but are not limited to) developing new course and teaching or co-teaching the course including: lecturing, holding office hours, grading and administering exams and coursework, managing and mentoring graders and teaching assistants, course preparation, holding discussion or lab sections and additional duties as needed.

Required materials include a curriculum vitae, cover letter, statement of teaching, and contact information for 3-5 references.
