Dr. Choi researches engineering education, focusing on curricular innovations and student-centered instructional strategies and their impact on student learning. The BME Education Group assesses student learning gains across the curriculum using qualitative and quantitative research methods in the areas of problem solving, design thinking and metacognition. Insight gained from the group’s mixed-methods approach will promote evidence-based teaching practices to further enhance student outcomes.
